Illa Fabulis

Illa Fabulis is a web project documenting the amazing lives, opinions and creative works of inspirational Canadian women. The goal of the project is to feature a variety of women, both well-known and up-and-coming, with an aim to highlight their accomplishments and document their unique stories. Interviews and portraits are housed on illafabulis.com and the Illa Fabulis monthly podcast features selections from the previous month’s interviews mixed with related music, readings and performances.

Sarah Maitland & Jen MacLeod • Two phenomenal women who run the Vancouver Writers’ Exchange—a non-profit organization that creates exciting literacy and publishing projects for at-risk and inner city kids.

Sophie Hackett • The AGO’s assistant photography curator talks about the art of photography, the film/digital debate and the history of women and the medium.

Elizabeth Bachinsky • An insightful and humorous chat with this lovely Canadian poet about her creative process and her most recent book of poems.
